FASHION EXPERIENCE: INSIDE VOGUE ITALIA and VOGUE ARCHIVE

Good morning my faithful Ladies !

Buongiorno a tutte, mie Affezionate Ladies!

Today I finally speak to you of that day when I entered the gates of Heaven, that is of Vogue Italia, located in the “inaccessible walls” of an ancient Palace of Milan in Piazza Castello 27.

While I was waiting to enter its smooth stairs (they are really so!), in the courtyard I have even seen the highest tower where Mrs. Franca Sozzani appeared at the window with her drooping long hair. She was alone and unreachable, waiting for the end of the era of fashion bloggers. AHAHAHA Neglecting Franca and reverting to my seriousness, (ahahahahah), that day I went to Vogue house to enjoy the show created specifically for the production of Vogue Archive. The magazine, in fact, to celebrate its fiftieth anniversary, wanted to overdo and digitized all its archives.

Maybe you have no idea of what this digital solution is great for we lovers, as well as for university students and outsiders…The fact that we have at our disposal a whole pushing history in HD along with articles, advertising, photos and much more, it means that we are living a cultural, social and economic evolution.

In order to summarize briefly the history of the most famous magazine of all times, I would like to remember that Vogue Italia was born in 1961, when T. Kerman, as a manager of Condé Nast Company, contacted Roberto Kuster to invest in the magazine “Novità”. In 1964, the magazine directed by Franco Sartori, changed radically, in fact its format became larger and the services were exclusive.

It felt strange to browse through these past magazines on a screen. It had never happened, at least up to now, to observe the head saying “Vogue & Novità” or the face of Benedetta Barzini with an arrogant pageboy cut that was typical of the Sixties. By taking a huge leap forward, we reach 1988 when Vogue changed again with Franca Sozzani, who started a new path and decided to put on the magazine front cover the innocence portrayed by Robyn Mackintosh.

said Mrs. Sozzani and she undoubtedly achieved her goal. She kept both the consistent and the different nature of the magazine, by giving over the years a particular and interesting interpretation of contemporaneity to all of us.

Here is a series of photos I took in Vogue Italia house, during this unforgettable cultural trip.
